· Annual Giving: Funds raised annually are used primarily to provide scholarship expenses for our student-athletes, but are also applied to all student-support services as well as equipment and travel expenses. Benefits are applied during the next fiscal year, beginning on October 1 and ending on September 30. Post-season ticketing benefits are awarded based upon your level of support.

· Endowment: Donations to USA Athletics, usually in the form of major gifts, are used to offset the cost of scholarships for South Alabama's student-athletes. For more information on giving to the USA Athletics, please contact the JAF office at 251-461-1366.

· Matching Gifts: Many corporations match the gifts their employees make to non-profit organizations. Be sure to take advantage of a company match if it's available and receive credit and benefits for the matching gift! Check with your personnel office for a matching gift form, complete the form, and enclose when mailing in your gift.

· Planned Giving: Planned gifts, such as bequests, life insurance policies, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and charitable lead trusts, are all ways donors can make more substantial gifts while achieving tax savings and financial planning goals.
